Tago is proud of Iris May Montero Aroa for being part of the 3-man team that won first place in the recently concluded 4th National Science Quiz Fair held in Baguio City last week. Experimenting on "PHYTOREMEDIATION OF MERCURY USING INDIAN RADISH," her team bested 35 others from Philippine Science High Schools all over the country.
Iris May is a scholar at the Mintal Campus of the Philippine Science High School in Davao City where she's a Director's Lister. Graduating this year, she's the Editor-in-Chief of their yearbook.
Iris May graduated valedictorian (i remember writing her valedictory address) at Falcon Memorial Elementary School (FMES) where she brought a lot of honors by excelling in Math and Science Olympiads among others. She holds the distinction of being the only FMES graduate who has passed the battery of tests and was admitted to the Philippine Science High School, the home of cerebral elites.
She's the daughter of Chris and my batchmate, Josephine Aroa, who is the present principal of FMES.
Statuesque at five-nine, Ayet, as she is fondly called, plans to take up Nuclear Physics at UP-Diliman.
Congratulations 'Yet! You do us all proud!
