THE 5TH MAYOR'S CUP OF TAGO
Posted: Tue May 27, 2008 2:20 pm
The recent series of tournaments in Tago brought back the sizzling summer excitement of yore. Think 70s with Bruins fighting it out with Survivals, or RBT with RCD.
This year's cagefest started with interpurok tournament for juniors, followed by interpurok for seniors, and culminating with the inter-barangay tourney. All these tournaments played to full-house capacity, thus showing how Tagon-ons love sports!
The spectators applauded Mayor Jun Pimentel during the championship night when he said that LGU-Tago would increase the budget for sports activities next year because Tago-LGU would pay for the players' drug test, adding that no basketball tournament would happen in Tago without testing the players for illegal drugs.
Many wondered if there would be cagers left to play next year.

BARANGAY PURISIMA, Champion

ANAHAW DAAN, 1st Runner Up

SUMO-SUMO, 2nd Runner Up

GAMUT, 3rd Runner Up
CONGRATULATIONS!
