tago town plaza gets a facial scrub!

just a week before SMT 2009, the local government unit of tago gave the town plaza a facial scrub, as opposed to a major facelift. the aim was to render everything in black and white, and so the dragon perched above the pagoda has shed its skin. engr. nick laurente placed more white orbs in strategic points, making the town plaza well-lit.
how the pagoda looks now. note the dragon, the lamp posts, and the rails.
the veterans' square; note the four lamp posts.
"madilim an 'yong paligid..." dr. jose rizal sings this line no more!
finally, the "slide" is fitted with rails, thus no longer an accident hazard!
as mute witness to a lot of relationships, this bleeding organ seems to say, "'tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all!"

THAT'S SO OUTDATED AND HAS TO RETIRE. USE A FIBER GLASS OR PLASTIC,WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT. MONEY SPENT TO GIVE IT A LIFT DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE AT ALL.

actually may plano na nan ini. kay ngani paga request ako ni JP sa una na i-present ko an "floor plan" na hinimo ko sa mga konsehal sa time na yo anto. gustuhi yadto ni yo anto na butangan nan fountain and skating rink but i stood pat, saying these things are so hard to maintain. we don't have to look far, i remember saying, we just have to look at tandag's fountain. besides, i wanted to preserve the symmetry that our park has because i believe it is its greatest strength.

CHECK! but one thing i would like suggest is to solve the drainage system, kay based on observation pag kusog ug way hunong na uwan mag sa bahaan an ato plaza specially yaon sa may rotunda. . . . . . .i do hope this would also be given preferential attention....

tinood sa na isa da kaw na yano na lungsuranon pero puno sa gahum.
Honestly, i would rather have it removed. Since,the teeter totters are gone, it doesn't serve much purpose anymore. If the old gym will be demolished, it will be a perfect spot for a children's playground.

I'm with you here SUGZ. Children's playground (spot) is an IMPERATVE. Kinahanglan buhangin or ya-on ginaling na kahoy. Fiberglass alright. Kids love colors so it has to be colored para bibo.

maruya,
drainage was actually the first thing i mentioned when i presented my plan because i also saw it as a major problem, aesthetically and otherwise. this despite the fact that i loved "swimming" at the plaza during heavy rains when i was young and that bugsy has also picked up the hobby.

Wow K-Spy mag blast from the past sa lamang kita nan way oras...
koman pa ako makakita nan pagoda na puti an atop. Ayaw ako paglang-a na ya-on heart color black.
