It's part of Purisima School's tradition to send its graduating class to a retreat/recollection. Last Thursday afternoon, 29 January 2009, the seniors left for Marihatag Tree Park, and went home late this afternoon, 31 January 2009. Then suddenly this evening, at 7:35, three girls began showing signs that they have been possessed.
Yes, they became Linda Blair: with harsh, eerie voice, super human strength, and eyes that could bore holes!
As of this writing Fr. Ricky is using holy water on the girls who show no sign of conceding defeat. Based on what one girl is saying in altered voice, she's looking for her sister who is purportedly inside the body of Toyang (Balo Carcallas's niece).
It can be recalled that five years ago, a senior male student (son of Jake and Allie Montero) was stabbed to death on the day he went home after the annual recollection held at the Pastoral Center in Tandag.

though this phenomenon has biblical basis, i have a theory this is not one of those. yes, i heard too that toyang was again possessed today, prompting fr. ricky to do another exorcism. he then proceeded to meet the seniors and explained to them not to panic because there actually no spirits, only mass hysteria.
if at all, this could be a lesson for PS management not to conduct recollection outside of tago. i remember we had ours at the seminar house.

Kspy, although sometimes "mass hysteria" could be a classic excuse in cases where authorities or experts can find no explanation for puzzling or frightening events.

The kids are just tired - physically, mentally & emotionally. Let them rest and forget what happened. they will be okay. move on look forward na sa iyo JS Prom, Graduation, going to college....etc..etc.
