Sus, ko ICEPRINCESS maka connect gayod ako kanimo kay right after I graduated sa colegio bangko dayon an first job ko. Pasar na ako sa exam, first interview and I was scheduled for my final interview pagka stewardess. Pero at the end I declned the offer of PAL for Mama's sake. Being a flight attendant was my first choice because I wanted to meet pipol and travel, see places. Pero "unica hija" sa lagi, sigi dakan.

Sa Bangko isab? ok, may good and bad. Good na-ay: Didto ko makila an ako mga connections na amoy dako nayatabang when I started my own business. "good connections". an bad side was: tino-od kaw boring-ngi gayod. I started as a teller. qualifications: guapa, nice to pipol, smiling face, knows how to count money, knows arithmetic. College graduate. after six month I was sicked and tired of being sicked & tired. Routine sa gud na trabajo. Counting money na dili kon ako. So, I was promoted paka marketing assistant. Arang-arangngay kay I got the chance to meet & talk to pipol kay inviting sa lagi rich pipol to open account with our Bank. The bank provided me with car, clothing allowance, commissioned salary - very attractive an salary kay ubay-ubay sa isab an ako matuting. Isa pa permi ako galibod (manghanap nan matuting) dili kon kangong da sa four walls nan bangko. Later on, I realized that I was making the bank owners richer. Why I not work for myself and make money for myself? So, I left the bank and started my own journey in life. It was SCARY. I was scared of the UNKNOWN, of the "What ifs & the what not. But I said to myself " NO GUTS, NO GLORY".

mag-iningles na-ay ako kadali. hah? Correction da kon sayop an grammar ko. okay da. Kay may mga butang sa gud na masayon sultihon sa ininglis.

I know a lot of you sitting there are plenty fearful of what's coming next, the big wide world, the unknown.

Well, trust me on this: it's okay to be scared. And not only is fear okay, it's a good thing. Our fear gives us wisdom. It lets us know we're confronting something new. Fear lets us know what we don't know. It tells us we may need help. We may have to keep our eyes open. We may have to learn the ropes. We may have to stay awake and aware.

Someone told me not to be afraid of being afraid, because, she said, "Anxiety is a glimpse of your own daring." Isn't it great? It means part of your agitaion is just excitement about what you're getting ready to accomplish. And whatever you're afraid of _ that's the very thing you should try to do. I always tell my younger cousins, if you're afraid to jump into the twelve-foot water, you'd better jump right in. Or as Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Do one thing every day that scares you".

Bottom line is this: You jump in, you do it, and you come out the other side. In fact, I believe the fear of the unknown helped me, because fear is a great motivator. It makes us think outside the box _ which is the only way you can do anything original and exciting in life.

Bottom line pa gayod:
As you dive into yur own future, remember this: If you feel afraid, it means you're alive. That's good. Now use it.

Good luck to you -sweeties.

Kalimot na isab ako pag-login. Apason koda sa Edit post.

A Risk Based Point of View

My aspiration when i die is that..... I want people to say, "He lived his life to the fullest." It is a natural paradigm the so called "death knocks your door any time". But this is a paradigm that most people afraid to occur and talk about. Why? because people are not ready to die in absence of a legacy. Legacy may derived into qualitative and quantative factors. Even during death, people still crave for positive reception and admiration. Because by nature, human beings are hunger for appreciation and we constantly desired others to arouse our enthusiasm. When Ninoy Aquino was assasinated, he knew during his flight to manila that he would be definitely killed but he still persisted to risk his life. You know why? because that was an opportunity for him to die with legacy.

Being a risk consultant, my always objective is to offset uncertainties and change. Financial loss/fire/Natural disaster are all fractions of uncertainty but death is the major fragment of it. How do we offset uncertainties? Well, to offset it, two factors should exist...the Quantitative and Qualitative factors. If money is not a problem to you right now because you have a lot of estate & monetary resources...then you obtain the quantative requisites. What if there's a deficiency? or an absence of wealth? As an ordinary individual like me, to obtain the quantitative factor to offset uncertainties is for me to get a life insurance. I don't want to die without setting aside something for my family. I don't feel like my future son and daughter to convey in front of my grave that they live in agony because I left them nothing.

But, the greatest of them all.....is the qualitative factor. So, what are the requisites of qualitative factor? It is simple but tough.....just live your life based on the teachings of jesus christ or live your life as if your last day in this world. That's it. You by now attain the qualitative factor.

Do you want to die with legacy? Do you want people to linger on your decent deeds and setting you a timeless model to the younger ones? Can you achieve it? It's your choice.... :)

Hi Mana Cor's!
I've read that book of Khalil Gibran and yes, it's really nice. It talks about life, death and how we seek and open our hearts wide unto the body of life. It was written in a philosophical poetic way so medjo catchy... I like Khalil's works and writings. As a matter of facts I named my son Khalil.. pero mas gwapo s'ya compare kan Khalil Gibran! hehehe!

Anyway, an death for me is very scary gayud for now especially I have bigwis to think about. I'm worried about his future pag wala an love and guidance ko. Pero God has plans for all of us. All I can do is pray that if the time comes, my son can openly accept it. Laong pa lagi ni Khalil Gibran, " For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? " Hayyy!! Dapat waray gawo death!!! and OLD AGE stage???!!!

So long!!

Death by Khalil Gibran

Unread post by madZ »

On Death
by: Khalil Gibran

Than Almitra spoke, saying, "We would ask now of Death."

And he said:

You would know the secret of death.

But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?

The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.

If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;

And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.

Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.

Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.

Is the sheered not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?

Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?

And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink form the river of silence shall you indeed sing.

And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.

And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance

cordaps,

ay, ay kindred spirits sa baya kita ni madz because I also adore khalil gibran! in fact i stole my original blogger signature from khalil, thus: “I compose what life proses, and prose what life composes.”

you know what? during laiden’s wedding, all the things I wanted to tell iya ester (who boycotted her only daughter's wedding) were beautifully articulated by gibran, viz:

"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable."

And cordaps, do you ask why I’m here and you, there? Again, Khalil has the answer:

My house says to me, "do not leave me, for here dwells your past."
And the road says to me, "Come and follow me, for I am your future."
And I say to both my house and the road,
"I have no past, nor have I a future.
If I stay here, there is a going in my staying;
and if I go, there is a staying in my going.
Only love and death change all things."

NOW TELL ME CORDAPS, CAN LINES BE MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THAT?

LONG LIVE THE KHALIL GIBRAN FANS CLUB!
