The new Goldbar opened on 28 April 2009 via an eat-all-you-can fare at P130 per plate. Out to check the place, hundreds of old and new customers trooped to the balinese structure facing the Pacific Ocean and ate like there was no tomorrow, which attested to how good the food was.
With customers swarming the tables, Goldbar's system went kaput, allowing freeloaders to do their trick. Yes, from eat-all-you-can, the theme switched to catch-me-if-you-can. But Willie and Susie said it was alright, after all, it was opening day.
Goldbar had a foodfest in the morning (10:30-2:00 PM) and in the evening (5:00-7:30 PM).
the gang went there in the evening, a bit late because the buffet table was almost empty and many customers were still queuing. Refill took some time as Goldbar waited for another lechon to be delivered. But in the end, we had fun.
For me and many of the customers, the real hit was the thin crust pizza baked the real italian way----in pugon! that's reason enough for us to go back there soon.
